Kaharoa Hall is the venue for the next The Rogue Stage Presents!

The band, Bernie Griffen and the Thin Men, is a 4 piece alt country, folk-blues band ft Bernie Griffen, Kirsten Warner, Brendan Turner and Alison Turner. They are based in Auckland and will soon be embarking (Bernie and Kirsten) on an European tour. This will be a great opportunity to see them live before they leave NZ for 3 months.

Bernie Griffen and Kirsten Warner have been writing songs together for over 3 decades. Their unique swamp blues sound is not something you hear everyday. “Everything so far” released in 2012, followed by “Salvation” in 2015 are both outstanding albums. From one song to the next you are drawn into a world where the darker shades of life has its purpose and its meaning, making you stop and think for a bit. It has a ‘lived it’ feel and their live performances are dotted with recollections of where and when the songs were written. Bernie has a down to earth connection with the audience, truly a rough diamond, while Kirsten brings the light hearted & quick witted punch lines. A journalist by day and poet by night, Kirsten has penned many of her own songs which she will also be performing on the night.

It ll be great to see you. Come join us!

19th March, 7pm – $15 pre-sale and $20 on the door (you can text me for a ticket and you can pick it up from Musicworks Rotorua in the next two weeks – 02102381057)
